GIP is currently the only official plan for Singapore to directly apply for permanent residents, led by the Economic Development Bureau (EDB), and is oriented to the world's top entrepreneurs and investors. In the past 10 years, about 450 people have obtained Singapore PR through GIP, of which options one, two and three account for about 50%, 40% and 10% respectively.

Self-employment EP allows applicants to register a private limited company in Singapore, act as a management in self-employment and apply for an EP pass, which is currently the most cost-effective identity planning path.
